Last week's #B.Instagood post featured Nana, who's living in Japan and her feed has got me on a sort of "japanese wave" (does that even make sense?). This week our instagram mom goes by lolo_et_uu on instagram. Enjoy the precious moments she has caught on camera of her kids. ~ by Zara.s
Those green kicks are just too adorable. Personally, I think they would look great with the first outfit with the pineapple. Or is that too cute to handle? Nah, kids are all about cute.
With our online store fully up and running, we though it'd be nice to introduct some of the members of the Bloesem.co family to you. The BU! Blankies flew off the shelf and we've only a few left till we get more in but for now, here are a few of our other gems you can find in our online store. We mainly ship in Asia but if you would like to order from anywhere else you should just drop us an email and we can try to figure something out.
I have to say, one of the "hottest" items in the shop are these weave mats. We have almost every color of the rainbow all bundled together sitting near the window (comes in a few different sizes as well) and almost everyone has to stop for a second look at the colorful feature in the window. Perfect for a child's room, these colorful mats can be whiped down easily with a wet cloth so parents, you won't get a mini heart attack everytime some kinda juice of sorts spills. Also they really brighten up the room. A great affordable piece for a mini room makeover.
Eames Toys. A true throw back.
I remember making guitars out of tissue boxes as a kid, but this banjo is way cooler!
Safeguarding your eggs (in the cutest way possible)
Making baby leggings out of your favorite patterned cloth.
The weekend awaits! Go out and have an awesome time, then we'll meet back here on Monday? Okay? Okay, see you then. Xo. Irene & Zara
ps. and speaking of vintage toys ... Kiet could not have been happier when my mom came from the Netherlands and she brought him a suitcase full of vintage star-wars toys from the seventies. My sister's neighbour had kept it all these years waiting for a child that loved star wars just as much as her own son (who unfortunately passed away) ... I so understood how this mom must have treasured these toys and wasn't able to just put them away ... and I m very happy these special toys have found a house were they are very much appreciated.
I love when mommies get their inspiration for their work from their children, I think that is when you can really see the love and passion in their pieces. This is exactly the case for Robe of Feathers founder, Nele Hinrichsen. Her two little daughters not only inspire her pieces but also make sure other little girls will love wearing them as well.
Always keeping sustainability and fairness in mind during the production of their pieces, their garments all come in small quantities from Germany. The soft colors and simple patterns are both darling and elegant (can i say that for a child's clothing? But it is!) at the same time. It's cute yet would make any little girl look like a little lady.
Robe of Feathers is participating at the little popup-shop at the Little Fashion Week in Brussels from 28 February till 2 March. We wish them all the best and if you will be at the Little Fashion Week, don't forget to go check them out. They must be having a pretty crazy month because along with being at the Little Fashion Week, their SS14 collection also goes live on their online boutique this week.
P.s In love with their polka dotted pieces! So sweet.
