**guest post written by Hylkia from Hartendief
Last year I, founder of Hartendief, asked paper cutting artist Geertje Aalders to design a silhouette for our shop with animals in it. We actually met via Twitter- and finally we met in person when we were both attending the Flavourites live fair in november.
For Hartendief I was looking for a happy and funny design with animals, and Geertje was inspired by my idea right away. Just a few key words were enough to set off a creative explosion in Geertjes work space! And within a few days the Great Parade was finished.
Geertje started sketching first, with white pencil on black paper.
After that she began cutting the animal shapes out of paper. I love the drumming crocodile and the elephant with the party hat! Geertje placed the original papercut in her room, where it shows off beautifully against the white wall.............. more >>>

Hello lovely readers, do you like these gorgeous ceramic little lights just as much as I do? It was again the 'super spotter of nice things' Deborah from Kickcan&Conkers that brought these lovelies to my attention. Perhaps you have seen the ceramic hangers below already somewhere in blogland, but I guess it doesn't do you any harm showing them to you again :)...
The only information I have about these ceramic pieces is that they are available via Serendipty, a French online shop and that they were made by Cadja. If you have more info please feel free to leave a comment!
I love Fall and even Winter, so I can't say that seeing warmer clothing makes me excited, but I can admit that I do love seeing it. Spring and Summer clothing has such a lovely softness about it, everything seems bright and airy. It makes me wish I was on vacation, but since that isn't possible right now - I'll just daydream while browsing through Tea Collection's new arrivals. My picks (above) can be found here and here.

..... Gong Xi Fa Cai = Happy Chinese New Year ......
yes I know I am one day late, but I was 'also' celebrating my 40th Birthday yesterday!
And it was a super beautiful day, enjoying some time in Singapore with my three men. Thank you all who left messages on my facebook page and twitter!
I thought these pillows by 'beautiful around the world' are very appropriate to celebrate Chinese New Year here on BKids. My dear friend Yvonne Kusters who lives in Kuala Lumpur but is Dutch from origine has founded her Beautiful Bag company already some years ago and recently she has added these happy pillows to the collection.

When I think about having a baby, there is something that continues to pop up in my mind besides all the thoughts of how wonderful it will be...the bedding. I know that may seem ridiculous, but I love bedding. I like to keep it simple, so when I think of my future babies room - I like the idea of having different bits here and there to change the look of the nursery from time to time, but still keep its simplicity.
Ferm Living is killin' it with their new bedding items, you can find these here and here.

{Craft project: a Treasure Book}
Yeahhh we have a new Craft Contributor here at BKids... you might have met her and her wonderful family last week while reading her Mom Story. It is Véronique from the online shop Pichouline.
I am super impressed by her first DIY project, a Treasure book and I hope we will see many more in the future. In 2012 these three talented ladies will prepare the most unique, simple and fun projects for us: Teri from Giddy Giddy, Jennifer from Ambrosia Creative and Véronique from Pichouline.
But for now head over to the Craft section and see how you make a Treasure book yourself...
It is my mother-in-law's Birthday today and hers is not the only one this month, last week both my mom and dad were getting a year older and coming Monday it is my turn to add an extra year to my age... and to get myself prepared in the party decoration mood I always enjoy visiting the Famille Summerbelle's place. I believe these are the best paper garlands available... happy colors and lovely patterns... and of course re-usable.
... and if you are not looking for party decoration but something special for Valentine, how about this gorgeous 'Love Bugs' print... if you buy now you can enjoy the special sale that is going on at the Famille Summerbelle's webshop.
I have been a huge fan of UPPERCASE magazine for several years now, and was delighted when Janine Vangool the mastermind behind this gorgeous magazine, accepted my invitation to do a Mom Story. Let's find out more about Janine, shall we...
