Hikje ...which means little 'hiccup in' Dutch ... is Janek Zantinge's label for children of all ages ... Janneke graduated in 2008 from the Utrecht school of Arts and started her brand in product design, but knew from the start she also wanted to create unique pieces for children so she founded Hikje in spring of 2008 ... recently she designed the gorgeous little cranes, made out off cardboard and wrapped in cotton thread ... super for a shelf in a nursery or living room!
