After introducing the new Cooking for Kids column on B:Kids I thought it is nice to share the terrific food inspired -shirts with you from Puddlefoot! Suzi MacDougall recently started her new brand with these very beautiful colored 100% organic tees for tots ... growing up with a passionate Gardener for a mom, Suzie already learned at a young age to fully respect our environment and started drawing funny little things inspired by nature at a young age ... I can only imagine how proud she must feel with this lovely collection!

New Column :: Cooking for Kids

Very excited and happy to show you a new feature or perhaps I should say 'column' here on B:Kids ... Cooking for Kids ... as of today I'm going to show you a weekly healthy recipe for kids written by a guest writer or me... when thinking about this new column I  knew I had to ask my very dear friend Jenny Stegall to write the very first column and hopefully many more ... I met Jenny in Kuala Lumpur and she has made our lives so much more fun and interesting... with her great sense of humor and unbelievable talent for cooking and food-styling... on top of this she is also a fabulous host... we had some wonderful dinner parties ... unfortunately for us she moved back to San Fransisco, but having her as a regular guest on B:Kids is just a fantastic way of sharing our friendship and love for doing fun things with and for our children ... this week Jenny is telling us a bit more about her passion for food, how to feed our children healthy meals and a great recipe for vegetable pancakes ... click here for the new column!

Before moving to Asia Jenny ran a catering business in SF and also worked as a private chef for home-dining ... fortunately for you... she is back in SF and has started catering again... so please feel free to email Jenny for any catering information ...

Eve ... how fun it is for me to write about the new etsy shop from my dear friend, Tanya who also lives here in Kuala Lumpur ... Tanya and I have been talking a lot about blogging, etsy, being creative and doing something next to being a full time mom ... and I'm so happy to see that Tanya has made a plan together with her sister, Jessica who lives in the USA, to start selling these super cute baby hats made of a high quality cotton-acrylic blend ... the hats are only the first items from a line of more baby/parent accessories that are just as stylish to come  ... so I can't wait to see their new collection of baby diaper bags that that they are both working on at the moment ... I already love these hats and am sure the other products from the EVE brand will be great, congratulations Tanya and Jessica!

Huge congratulations to Summer, Danny and Chris ... Fawn&Forest is celebrating their 1st birthday!! Line+Liv ... until some weeks ago Wiebke Kruse had a little childrenshop in Flensburg / North Germany called Line+Liv, where she sold great clothes from small labels from Danmark, Holland and her own ... but when giving birth to her third daughter, she decided to take a break from the brick and morter store ... but her fantastic webshop is still up and running and currently you can find some very nice deals at the wintersale ... and some favorite brands of mine :: Makié, nutcase - Freche Köpfe, io!pla-net, Line+Liv, raplapla, puj, playtime ...

... today I wish I was living back in Toronto again where my dear friend Arounna and her husband John from Bookhou just opened their new brick and mortar shop on Dundas street in downtown Toronto ... it's a space with where Arounna has a studio directly in the back as well and were you can go and see where they make their gorgeous things as well ...  currently they are also running a printing workshops limited to four people per class and starting soon ... more information right here ... Nanny Pickle ... aka Shannon and Jennine from Ashgrove, Queensland in Australia designed this gorgeous collection baby and toddler clothes .for which they only use fabrics that are organic and grown free of pesticides and fertilisers for example the bamboo used is both 100% biodegradable and naturally regenerative ... another part of their very nice line is the Papier collection, which I love the very much, they are not only beautifully illustrated, I also love this idea of using doorhangers during nursery time, such a sweet little gift for a mom-to-be ...

a concerned letter from Misha Lulu ...

I received a very concerned email from dear friends Karen and Joe from Misha Lulu... about the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA) ... you probably have heard about it but maybe not and I am more than happy to devote some time and space here on B:Kids about this urgent matter arising in the U.S.A. ... and more important how can we all help to revise this poorly written legislation that can put an end to small business in the U.S.A and will also effect other businesses who are selling to customers in the U.S.A ...

We are writing to you as concerned parents, fellow consumers and producers of children's clothes to both inform and

I think I'm a lucky mom ... my dear Lode is a very 'easy' eater, he loves his vegetables, rice, chicken, apples, bananas and other things a mom like to give to their children, never any problems when sitting down together for a meal ... but I know some of you are not so lucky and have to use tricks and tools too get a fork in their mouth ... maybe this fun airplanefork can come in handy ... ... sorry for the not posting last Friday ... i was very busy finishing the new design for Bloesem last week ... but this week it's back to normal and between the regular posts I'm preparing some very nice bookreviews and in the coming weeks we will have at least 4 great geusts for the Open House tours ...
