Nobody likes to be in the hospital and it's even more awful when your child has to be there ... I know from experience, luckily some minor things ... but I'm sure a stay in the hospital would be less horrible if it was designed like this hospital in Sweden by the Swedish designers from Wis Design ... I have often written about the women from Wis Design on Bloesem and always love what they do, including this interior design of the every day rooms at the Astrid Lindgren Children's Hospital in Stockholm.

i've always loved the name of that hospital...the author of pippi longstocking! beautiful work.

Love the aquarium setup. One of my fondest memories from childhood was when my parents allowed me to buy a couple guppies and keep them in a huge jug in the living room. That quickly grew into the love for tropical fish that I carry with me to this day.

That wallpaper made my heart skip a beat. I love that groovy color combo and faux book shelf wallpaper always makes me happy. Pretty sure I would heal if not a little quicker, a lot happier here.

What a beautiful way to use their creative talents, wonderful!
I have always wanted to donate some of my artwork to a childrens hospital. You have inspired me to look into this, thank you for your post.

Michelle :)

my goodness, what a difference it would make to be surrounded by color and beauty. thank you for sharing this... those ladies obviously design with a lot of love, which is healing unto itself.

What a great idea! I really do believe your surroundings affect your mood, outlook, etc. so this is perfect for a hospital. Why not do something similar for adults as well?
