"must have for the summer 2010"

... it is something between a pair of trousers and a skirt and is called “bloomers" ... with dots or in plain, bold, cheerful, comfortable ... simply "bloomer"!

My girls love them and I also, as well as anything from the magical collection by the lovely and talented Valérie Chaptal and her label marie et rose alice. I feel a little bit of “soul mates“ with Valerie, perhaps because she also has 3 children, is also always busy and always spins around and, above all, because her collection fulfilled so much my dreams and desires: simple, light and a feeling of freedom ... just like a "bloomer".

This is such a great Mom Story from Anna Joyce , she is an artist, designer and mother living in Portland, Oregon. Her husband Victor is an artist too and together with their two daughters they live a very crafty and artsy life in the USA. I met Anna online via her online shop and my other blog Bloesem...her handmade pillows, table runners and other lovely items are truly lovely and will bring such a nice and warm feel to your home.

Once upon a time...there couldn't be a more appropriate name than this...fairytale inspired jewelry for children made and designed in Italy! So very beautiful and when thinking of Lode's girlfriends here in Kuala Lumpur who always want to dress-up as princesses I believe these necklaces, bracelets and ear rings would make them so very Happy. Father's Day

And YES he is the BEST dad in the world and NO we didn't spoil him yesterday....instead of I and my sons taking care of him he was taking care of us...a sick wife, sick son and a baby also asking for attention isn't the Father's Day you were hoping for, but we will make it up to you Darling, next Sunday it's going to be Father's Day again and a very special one I promise!...it did show however how wonderful you are :), love you much xx

Craft project: Vintage Towel Bib

A very nice idea from Kayanna this week on how to re-use those cute little vintage towels you often find at  thrift stores...Kayanna says it only took her just one hour to whip up a set of two lovely bibs. Great for a present or for your own baby. And I agree with her these towels are often so colorful and super absorbent.
