Tiffany and I already started preparing finding great items for the Bloesem and BKids gift guides 2011. We will start sharing them with you around the third week of October and we will be keeping the same format like last year, with many different categories, becasue many of you told us that you liked it and thought it was an easy way to look for your perfect gift.

Of course I am proud to give you the scoop ... and also to be able to share a bit more with you the 'why's and how's' behind this very beautiful app. I believe apps like these are still hard to find but make the app-shop so much more interesting, creative and worth visiting with your kids.
I would use this app for travelling, killing some difficult hours at the end of the day when the boys are tired. Just put the iphone or ipad on the table and turn the app in a guessing-game...

Why this application?
Marlis and Xander were the Milan airport waiting for their flight to Palermo. It was hot and their daughters, Magali and Anais were bored. They had brought some books and downloaded some apps but soon found out that most apps were only available in English - and on top of that the girls were quickly bored... it was then that the idea was born to make children's apps in as many different languages!

A thank you shout out to the best 'daily finds' website in the world... DailyCandyKids and Kelly Aiglon for doing this awesome writeup about BKids Wear Neon. I can't tell you how happy I was reading it and seeing our necklaces in the DailyCandy world.
I have to tell you a bit more why.. I remember living in Manhatten in 2000 and people telling me about this great site showing everyday something unique and special. Back then it was only Daily Candy and very much focused on New York. I was probably one of their first followers :):) and was smitten by the gorgeous illustrations by Sujean Rim, which I think is fantastic to see they have never changed to a different style. {ps. just found out Sujean is working on a children's book... need to found out more)
