Smallville or Mein Kleines Dorf

Kietplaying

Happy to report that Kiet is getting better :) ... and we had a lot of fun this morning playing with 'mein kleines dorf' a small wooden village I brought home from Europe during our Christmas trip last December ... i had kept in my cabinet for a special occasion and thought today was ... I was very happy.

Wooden villages like these are very common in Germany I believe and you can find them at almost every weihnachts market.

Just some links if you would like to buy 'mein kleines dorf' too: here, here and here

We have this little village too - I think it came in a little bag with a tie up. A gift from grandma for my son when he was 3 and now my daughter who is 3 is enjoying it too.

Yes, this is one of our favorites as well, we bought it at www.linodi.com, which is a very nice online shop with adorable fabrics, too.

Thank you Irene for your constant inspiration, greetings from Amstelveen :-)

Hi - and thanks for your lovely blog.
We have this smallville too. I bought it on a Flohmarkt for kids. It's really cute and I still have it, although my kids are too old for it now.
I never was sure if the long parts in the box are "streets" or "walls".
Have fun with the smallville!

Liebe Grüße aus Deutschland,
Anja
