Sponsor spotlight: ittikid

  {1. flower shirt 2. matching shades 3. summer suit 4. pillow  5. sweatshirt 6. owl cap}

Have you ever wondered what it is that makes our kids so darn adorable, except for their facial expressions...are clothes making them even cuter... I believe so and ittikid is an online shop that I love to go to get just that cuteness-factor. Their collection carrying mainly Scandinavian labels have the most gorgeous prints in very vibrant colors that love for my kids to wear.
What I also like about ittikid is their decor section.  I even bought a couple of curtains a couple of years ago, which in the end were by used by me as fabric for pillow covers. Above in the image are some of the BKids' favs.... ~ Sponsor Spotlight

Fashion Story with Soft Gallery

Fashion Story with Soft Gallery

F: Fashion is.... a great way to express your mind of stage....and bring together ideas and thoughts.

A: Accessories are important because… it adds that little extra personal touch.

S: Starting our brand was... the biggest thrill and challenge ever and still is in many ways. 5years later not one day is the same. We feel very  fortunate to be able  to do what we love.

H: Home to us is… being with the family in one big symbiosis.

I: Icons in fashion are to us... delicate and discreet icons.

O: Over the years we have learned that the most important thing is… when it comes to work it has been important for us to keep holding on to our own intuitions, and what we feel passionate about...and believe in a healthy and happy organic flow and growth.

N: New ideas often arise when… while traveling...watching people....collecting objects...comments from our kids...and collaborating with artist from around the world.

S: Style means to us... keeping it simple, poetic and authentic.

T: Trade-fairs we like to go to are... rewarding, because we meet a lot of interesting people and get to be part of a creative community. Playtime, Paris is inspiring and contains great clients and CPH kids Copenhagen for its extremely modern and cool atmosphere.

O: Orders, our breakthrough order came when… when Japan got an eye for us.

R: Returning trends in fashion are… animal prints, it seems to be a classic that one never really gets tired of.

Y: Years from now we will... still collaborate with different artist from around the world and represent them through their beautiful artworks displayed on our garments. We will also slowly keep expanding our collections in new directions and make sure that we constantly challenge ourselves with new thoughts and ideas....And if one day possible Tine and I have a dream to live for a while in another country with our families and run Soft Gallery from a broad....

Olive Us

I don't think 'designmom' needs any introduction here, but for you who don't know who I am talking about let me explain a little bit. Designmom aka Gabrielle Blair is perhaps the most famous Mom blogger from the U.S.A. Her blog made it to the top 50 list of Times Magazine for being one of the best sites in the world and she is also the founder of Kirtsy and Alt.summit ... yes a very impressive list.

On a personal level her life is pretty amazing too... she has 6 kids and moved to France last year with her family to get a bit of a feel of the European, and in particular French life-style ... This adventure is has been such a good thing for the family that Gabrielle came up with the idea to 'capture' it in the best way possible... video - film ... so she teamud up with Tiger in a Jar and the together with her husband Ben the now have a weekly video series called Olive Us. The series is made up of short episodes (typically 2 to 5 minutes) and highlights the family values.

I hope you will enjoy these short movies as much as I do and I can only say from a professional level, two tumbs up Gabrielle for being such a trendsetter and example for many moms.
