One of my pet peeves has to be when I have to buy too many new items to do a DIY at home. This DIY by Nora Vrba from La Fête on the other hand is one example in which you can re-use old milk cartons which is great, because that's money saved (also re-using materials helps save our Earth, not to get too preachy)!
PLUS you get really cute light houses out of it. Make a whole village of houses out of different sized cartons!

We love Advent Calendars! Not only do they remind us of this special time of the year, counting down the days is also such a thrill and so very exciting!
It also brings you this little moment during to talk to your kids about the meaning of Advent and this special time of year. I know my boys love being involved in the whole process leading up to the 24th.
Last week Véronique from Pichouline shared with us the Forest Advent Calendar which we could create ourselves, so here's another advent calendar DIY from her.

We know everyone is excited for Christmas, so what better way to get pumped up than to get busy with a DIY! Today Véronique from Pichouline has another great DIY for us. A very creative and cute advent calendar.
It's so simple and so perfect. Practical and also a great decorative piece.
The best part is that you can customize your own advent calendars, be it with patterns or colors.
So have fun with this DIY! You can be sure we will be trying our hands at this too :)

treasures is probably a universal behavior of kids. It’s very possible it’s genetic too ;) But what to do with
all the shells, sticks and stones we bring home every vacation? Nora had this
batch from her trip to Thailand lying around for over 6 months and finally she
made this garland together with her little girl ... in just very simple steps Nora shows how to make a perfect Treasure garland...

I always wanted to know how to make these cute little origami paper stars ... so I was happy when Véronique send this new project along. If you were to make them with Orange paper they could be a perfect decoration tool for Halloween!
