If you like crafting and have a sweet tooth, you will love this book (and the giveaway we have at the end of the post!). Candy Aisle crafts is full of fun DIYs or in their words " extraordinary craft ideas from everyday supermarket items". Exactly the way we like it! Sometimes you see a craft online and want to replicate it but the matarials you need are just impossible to find, not with this book! Everything you will need is accessible in your local supermarket and we promise you a sweet and fun time recreating any of the delights.
Read on for a sneak peek of the book and A GIVEAWAY! Yes, one of you will be taking home this book. In the meantime, we can all try our hands at making the 2 cute candy crafts below.
Gumdrop Boat Cupcake Topper
Place this sweet little boat onto a cupcake frosted with light blue icing that’s been swept into peaks, like choppy water. If you can’t find Fruit Stripe gum, sour belt candy is another great option for the sail, as shown, opposite.
What you will need:
* 1 piece of Fruit Stripe gum
* 1 toothpick
* 1 gumdrop
* 1 blue frosted cupcake
* 1 blue cupcake paper (optional)
* 1 eight-inch-long piece of baker's twine (optional)
* 1 gummy ring (optional)
Step 1.Cut the gum into a sail or flag shape.
Step 2.Poke a toothpick into the bottom left side.
Step 3.Poke the other end of the toothpick into the bottom of a gumdrop, which is the boat.
Step 4.Optional: Use scissors to cut wave shapes into the top of the blue cupcake paper and put it under the cupcake.
Step 5.Tie the twine around the gummy ring and poke the other end into the frosting.
Step 6.Put the completed boat onto the frosted top of the cupcake.
Triangle Cake Decoration
These triangular candies could represent trees for a modern Christmas dessert or simply be a graphic cake decoration.
What you will need:
* parchment paper
* 4 Jolly Rancher Bold Fruit
* Smoothie hard candies
Step 1. Preheat the oven to 275°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Step 2. Put the Jolly Ranchers on the parchment in a row to create a tall rectangle. If making more than one at a time, put the candies on individual pieces of parchment, as shown.
Step 3. Place in the oven for 8 to 9 minutes. Remove and let cool for 1 minute.
Step 4. Using oven mitts, take the candy, still on the parchment paper, off the baking sheet, and cut it into a triangle shape (or two smaller triangle shapes) with scissors, cutting through the candy and parchment paper at the same time, as shown.
Step 5. Return to the baking sheet and let cool. Remove the parchment from the triangles.
Here's how you can win the book :

What's better than a post about a great brand? A giveaway of course! We have teamed up with Judith and Amanda from Panda and the Sparrow and they are generously spreading the joy of bamboo kids clothing with this giveaway. One lucky winner will get an All in One (aka. Onsie), a blanket, body tee and a hat. An entire baby set! Plus, the winner gets to choose whatever colors and sizes they would need for their precious little one.
Well, from our own experience with bamboo (adult) clothing, (if you haven't experienced bamboo clothing you have to, it is seriously the softest ever), we concur with Panda and the Sparrow when they say that their clothing is as soft as cashmere! The kids wear is also naturally hypoallergenic and thermo regulating. Who would have guessed that the bamboo would be such a great material for incredible kids clothing.
So if you have not got your hands on Panda and the Sparrow's kids wear yet, we highly suggest you enter our giveaway. Good luck!

Cheesy as the title of this post is, we can totally picture children going loco for this brand (pun intended).
Ma locomotion offers a range of transportation inspired t-shirts for kids. We know how young boys love their cars and trains and what not, so we knew this would be a fun brand to host a giveaway with. Their vintage inspired clothing aren't just pretty to look at, Ma locomation also considered how kids love to rough and tumble and that their attire should be able to put up with that, so their t-shirts are made with very high quality cotton that is both comfy on the skin and resistant to damage in our duty machines. Plus, everyone can appreciate that they are ethical made.
So if you're reading this and thinking, "yea my child would love some of those tees", then that's awesome because this just happens to be one of those well-love giveaway posts!
What can you win : 3 t-shirts of your choice from Ma Locomotion

Recently we did a feature on some pretty cool little boys clothing from Le Petit Society, modelled by none other than our favorite little model, Kiet.
But we all know who the real fashionistas are. The girls! We were all once that little girl who loved playing dress up, wearing our mom's too- high heels, carrying around a little handbag that had absolutely nothing necessary or useful in it. haha! But it is just a right of passage and we have to let girls be girls. As you see in the picture, evidence of girls being girls. (the bag even comes in a mommy sized version which is just out-of-this-world cute, mommy and daughter with the same bag, but not too matchy matchy, just right)
This time Le Petit Society is back with a giveaway! Whether you have a boy or a girl, they have something for your little one.
What can you win : A USD$100 E-voucher from Le Petit Society
What you have to do: is leave a comment below with your favorite item from Le Petit Society.
We'll choose a winner in a week, on 11 December 2013 and contact you, whomever the lucky person is, via email!
