Project #186: Easter eggshell planters
DIY Eggshell Easter planters by Wimke
I love to eat eggs! Boiled, baked or an omelet. For a few years i had my own chickens. I had three of them. They where so tame. They would sit on my lap and potter around the garden. When I was expecting my first baby, I couln't clean the hen house anymore. I brought my three ladies to a farm where they lived happily ever after. Unfortunately I don't have fresh eggs anymore... But, back to my DIY. Last week I saved the shells, I wanted to make something for upcoming Easter so I made eggshell planters. Here's how you can make your own.
What you'll need:
* Egg shells
* Mud
* Seeds (Cress)
For the eggholder:
* Toilet roll
* Coloured paper
* Glue
* Scissors
Step1: First make the holders from the toiletrolls. Cut the toiletholder in three equal pieces. Glue paper with a nice print on it. And your egg holder is ready.
Step2: Clean the empty eggshells with warm water then use a marker to draw on cute faces. Fill with mud. Sprinkle some seeds and let nature do it's job!
Happy Easter - Wimke
Thank you Wimke for the great Easter idea! We can already imagine a entire family of eggshells sitting on the window sill!
