# Project 196: DIY Watermelon print tote bag
DIY Watermelon print tote bag by Wimke
It's a trend, these watermelon prints are everywhere during the summertime! I wanted to do make something with this summery print. The girls are going on a school trip. I wanted to make a summerbag with watermelons on it, where they can keep their sandwiches , drinks and sweets in it.
What you'll need:
* Potato
* Acrylic paint - Red & Green
* Brush
* Black marker
* Canvas bag
Step 1: Iron the bag smooth. You cut the potato through the middle.
Step 2: This will become your stamp. To avoid pushing through of the paint, you can put a magazine in the bag. Put the red paint on a palette or any (unwanted) flat surface and press the potato into the paint. Stamp the potato onto the bag.
Step 3: Paint a green semicircle around the potato stamp with the brush.
Step 4: To finish off the watermelon, use the marker to draw the seeds of the watermelon.
Step 5: Allow the bag to dry and it is ready for a school trip or a day out to the beach! - Wimke
Thank you Wimke! Watermelons are indeed a great part of the summer time..
