what to wear today...twisitng and mixing
Post by Kellie from Buisjes En Beugels +++
As being a designer I have always been inspired and fascinated by designers who work by mixing and twisting functions and shapes.
Think of Martin Margiela, who is the leader and founder of twisting.
But the new AW1011 collection (sorry no link yet) of the American kids brand Kicokids is also a great collection of twists: a looped scarf which ends on both sides in socks, a knitted top with extra hanging sleeves, as though you are wearing a sweater over your shoulders. And think of the beautiful simple knitted sweater of which the front part is smaller, so the back side, which is another color comes to the front..
They also crochet/knitted a neck jewel out of fabric! And last I liked the boys shirts on which backs a total new shirt is attached. You can wear them both!
Every season I present some of their styles in my webshop.
