We recently met Bronwyn since she moved to Singapore from Europe. Thankfully for moms with a passion like her, that we have such personal products like Simply for Flying, a flight log book for the little ones. After much difficulty in finding one that was age appropriate for her two young children, Bronwyn decided to design her own on suggestion by her brilliant husband.
The cute characters and activities within the book are a great way for kids to past the time, as well as, to keep track of all their travels. The second part might not make sense to them just yet, but they'll be happy to look back when they're older. It's also a great keepsake for the parents!
What's great about Simply for flying is that it doesn't just end at the flight log book. There are many more fun aspects of Simply for flying that you can find on the website. Under printables, you will be able to find printable luggage tags, coloring sheets and even pre-flight checklists for parents. Bronwyn has seriously thought of every small details when it comes to travel.

One of our very first visitors to the Bloesem Creative Space was Hedwige Jacobs. She has been living in Singapore for 3 years and had heard about us through a friend (the power of word of mouth!). She is an artist and illustrator and together with Vanessa Del Fabbro, they create these lovely childrens books about the adventures of COCO.
The latest book in the Adventures of COCO series sees COCO in Rome. We love the quirky illustrations of COCO rome-ing around (sorry, bad pun). With all the sights drawn in the book, its like taking a mini vacation, especially great for educating children! COCO definitely needs to visit more places. Get your hands on the books here and here.
More pictures after the break.

I've known Paul for a few years now, we first connected when he started his blog. Meeting him first online, then in person, Paul has become an online friend. This is the miracle of the internet!
From blogger to owner of your own print magazine is quite admirable ... and I am happy to announce we are even going to be selling sweet paul magazine in our brick and mortar Bloesem shop in Tiong Bahru next year!
But for the sweet paul kids Holiday edition there is no need for you to come all the way to Singapore in fact just stay where you are and simply folow this link and download the digital issue, you will not be sorry ... hundreds of pages of cheer Christmas inspiration!
I think the magazines you read says so much about your personality and the things you like or how you would like to live your life. To us, the Sweet Paul reader is cheerful, creative and fun! The magazine is not only full of beautiful pictures, it also has craft projects for days.
Enticing you with delectable pictorials, we can't help but want to try to recreate the things we see in the magazine.
Thankfully many of the craft projects in the magazine are
also online, but downloading it to your ipad makes life so much easier. Technology nowadays... with magazines like sweet paul, it's simple to make life beautiful!

Today's quick start features Martha Stewart's favorite crafts for kids book. I'm amazed at how many crafts are packed into this 350 page book of endless fun for kids and maybe their moms and dads too!
I'm still going through the book (its going to take some time to get through all the activities, there is quite alot of them!) but so far a favorite has got to be 'Painted Umbrellas'. The name says it all and i think its a great simple project for the young ones to get creative with paint and something they actually use .... no need for them wait long I believe with rainy season in most countries right now.
Another nice project is the Leaf Alphabet ... I saw some great variations floating on pinterest the last coupe of weeks but Handmade Charlotte's one must be the most perfect one! ... couldnt resist sharing the cute image by Sabine Timm too ... :)
Join in the fun, you can get your copy of the book here.

I met the lovely Caroline Ellerbeck the other day at the Kleine Fabriek where she was showcasing her beautiful new collection 'fairytail coloring books' and 'learning how to draw' books that she publishes via her own company and are sold via various online shops.
My boys loved working with them. The books leave so much space for personal interpretation but do give guidance on how to draw.
Caroline is an illustrator by profession and has illustrated numerous children's books but you might also recognise her style from this app by Appracadabra or this calendar!

I was lucky enough to share images of her home in Rotterdam on Bloesem Living a little while ago. Marjon made the pictures and Sandra from BijzondeMOOI* asked her some questions. You can read and see it right here!
