Custom stamped animal ornament
When we think of sentimental and customised gifts, the first thing that pops into our minds are these precious ornaments by Paloma's nest. Sometimes thinking of what to get someone can be tough but when you present them with some personal and specifically made for him or her, we are sure they will appreciate it, why wouldn't they! It's so special, only they have it. Personalized and customised pieces are definitely the way to go.. we bet they'll kept for years to come, always a piece holding great memories..

One way to make a kids room fun and friendly is my introducing small elements that can add a little life to the space. We thought this collection of cotton and linen handmade pieces by Cocon are simply too cute to pass up. The animals and natural elements like the trees and twigs all add to this idea of living in a fantasy land, maybe somewhere in the forest. Definitely something that will let a child's imagination run wild.
Other than the usual posters and stuffed animals, what other elements do you have in your child's room to make it fun and homely?

1. ABC poster by Snug studio.
Here are 5 posters for the kids room. Posters are a great easy way to liven the walls of a room. No fuss no muss, you could place them in a frame, you could put them up with washi tape.. and there are so many posters out there to choose from. These are just 5 that caught our eye.. if you think there's any amazing pieces we might have missed be sure to leave a comment below ..On with the posters!
2. This Lovely Pigeon Elie poster.. We also love the Lovely Pigeon geometric poster .. the exquisite foil printing is gorgeous for the kids room... and for the parents.
3. Diptyque Post Temps by Papier Tigre.. Something a little different than a traditional poster or print. But still fun, colourful and whimsical!
4. Take Flight by Mini and Maximus.. for something less colourful but still fun. Origami's always fun.
5. Obviously we could not pass up including something from Fine Little Day.. you've seen the tomato, the apple so here's OHOY!

Rachel Powell is a surface pattern and wallpaper designer. You might have seen some of the prints and wallpapers by her before, but it was this screenprint above that really caught my eye .. i love the simplicity and the paperbag background color ... the fabrics are available by the meter and with just a little bit of imagination you will be able to transform your home or even just a few pieces within your space.
Her prints are playful and give a general sense of happiness. Definitely something you would love to see the moment you step through the door after a long day at work.
The cheerful nature of Rachel Powell's creations have found it's way into my heart and hopefully your homes as well :)

I never expected a guy (sorry!) to be the founder of this bright, bold and hapy label but it is and Mark McConnell has done an great job creating YOKE. I like the witty way of his designs like the rabbit head with the carrot between the floppy ears.
Nice way to start the week here on BKids ... you agree?

Feeling lucky today .... (and so is the Luckyboysunday rabbit to live in such a beaultiful room) ... to be able to share with you some impressions of a gorgeous apartment in Antwerp. My friend and long-time contributor to BKids .... Véronique from Pichouline lives here, well when she is not in Africa that is, decorated this apartment and these nice rooms for her three daughters.
Truly a lady with style who knows how to combine things. Isn't the tipi not just awesome? The pink pockets on the wall are perfect to display smaller items. Confetti garlands , paper pompoms are such simple and affordable ideas to make a room happy and fun for kids.
Enjoy the inspiration today! And if you have a question about a specific item you see in the picture just leave us a comment!
