Monday's quick start: alphabet frames

Chiaozza
- Irene and Rik -

Not only were Rik and I celebrating Father's Day yesterday we also drank champagne wearing our Bronze Medals .... yes 12,5 years happily married to the Love of my Life!

Fun to see these alphabet-frames by Chiaozza this morning ... how matching!

I believe these frames are so decorative for a kids room. You can order your letter and Chiaozza custom-design and make them for you.

Ending a great week for a happy weekend.

Toddler-boys-room-alfie

I feel truly blessed with all the personal messages, emails, comments and tweets you have send my way over the last couple of weeks. I will be honest with you going back to work on Monday wasn't easy ... after loosing a family member this close the sadness makes you want to stay in bed all day, not up to facing the normal world again ... but I made it and now I am very glad to back here in the bloggersworld with all of you ... I have to say a special Thank you to these lovely ladies who helped me and BKids through these difficult times by offering us their guest posts... Esther @Babyccino, Joy @OhJoy, Erin @designforminiKind, Jantine @aprilandmaymini,  and Yvonne @Yvestown ...

I wanted to end this week on Bkids with some kidsroom decor inspiration. Sufiya stumbled upon this post by Ursula of Room to Bloom where she shares lovely interior ideas for kids. Alfie is one happy toddler. His room is such a great space for a growing mind thanks to mum Sara.

Sufiya and I hope to see you back on Monday with more Gift ideas, craft projects and BKids is lucky because more guest bloggers will appear on stage... so stay tuned! ~xoxoIrene

Let's Talk Soft Toys

Bk1

I've never been a shabby chic kind of lady, but I have to admit these sweet soft toys by annapavlovna are hard to pass up. They have a fabulous vintage quality to them, and though they are not meant to be played with - they would look darling as decoration in a babies room. Each soft toys is hand stitched and embroidered. Anna and Kate are the owner's behind annapavlovna, and I especially like the soft color palette they have chosen when creating their soft toys.

Another set of soft toys that I am liking (pictured below), also not for playing with, but for adding sweet and simple touches to a room - are by Wassupbrothers (now that's a name!).

BK4

Olga, the owner of Wassupbrothers uses recycled materails to create her soft toys, and natural dyes when coloring fabric. I especially love the little scene's Olga creates for her handmade toys. - Tiffany King

DIY Cloud Mobile

BK1

You've probably seen this adorable DIY cloud mobile making the blogging rounds, but I couldn't resist posting about it - such a lovely idea. It was created by Fanny Motch from Petit Poulou. There is so much potential in this little cloud, from what kind of fabric to choose - to what fun bits you'll hang from it. I love the idea of having those kind of options. So ften I'll see mobiles that aren't really my style, but could be if there were just some slight changes. Thanks to this cloud mobile DIY -  I don't have to worry about that anymore, I'll just make it myself.BK2

I've never considered myself to be crafty, but I think I could manage this. I'd like to try anyways, because there is something so charming, and gentle about a cloud. If you'd like to learn how to make the cloud mobile (above), click here. - Tiffany King

Inspired :: Christian Jackson

B1

Though I tend to lean very much in the direction of vintage concepts, Christian Jackson's classic children's story posters are very appealing to me. Their simplistic clean lined message, though understated, is inviting. I know I wouldn't mind having them hang on my walls. - Tiffany King
