The Make History family has officially welcomed a new member .. The Growth Chart! We've already seen the Growth Chart making it's way round the world of instagram, popping up on our feed several times in a day.. but we would like to officially introduce it to you!
The Growth Chart is so close to Bloesem because we've seen our favourite product designer, marketing specialist and all round favourite person, Anouk van der El, working hard on it for awhile now and we were also honored to do the styling and photography for the Growth Chart.
We're sure you are already too familiar with the Time Capsules and the Little Quote Jar, both great products that fly off the shelf in the Bloesem shop.. We've just stocked the shop with Growth Charts and we're already running low. It's a great design and functional piece that both parents and children can enjoy. We've seen so many growth charts with overly childish designs that do not go with the room decor (you know the ones) but this one is just the right amount of playful and cool.
So go ahead and add this cool graphic Growth Chart to your child's room .. mark their growth and take it with you when you move.. it comes flatpacked and can be kept as a nice momento once the little ones have outgrown the chart.
We've placed one up on the wall in the Bloesem shop and it's lovely to see that kids are naturally drawn to it asking their parents to tell them how tall they are.. their favourite part is when we mark down their height and write their name beside it .. so wonderful to see their little faces light up!
The Growth Chart is a collaboration between Anouk van der El of Make History and blogger Erin Loechner (she writes Design for Mankind ) .. having met for the first time in Singapore while Erin was here to teach here Bloesem Classes on social media and blogging. Great to see Bloesem Class connecting creatives from all over the world.
Start 2015 with the Growth Chart and create memories by tracking your child's growth.. I always remember marking my height as a child as a very exciting time!

1. ABC poster by Snug studio.
Here are 5 posters for the kids room. Posters are a great easy way to liven the walls of a room. No fuss no muss, you could place them in a frame, you could put them up with washi tape.. and there are so many posters out there to choose from. These are just 5 that caught our eye.. if you think there's any amazing pieces we might have missed be sure to leave a comment below ..On with the posters!
2. This Lovely Pigeon Elie poster.. We also love the Lovely Pigeon geometric poster .. the exquisite foil printing is gorgeous for the kids room... and for the parents.
3. Diptyque Post Temps by Papier Tigre.. Something a little different than a traditional poster or print. But still fun, colourful and whimsical!
4. Take Flight by Mini and Maximus.. for something less colourful but still fun. Origami's always fun.
5. Obviously we could not pass up including something from Fine Little Day.. you've seen the tomato, the apple so here's OHOY!

You should all be familiar with one of the best gifts on the markets by now, Time Capsules (is it obvious we are big fans of it yet? ). Well, from the same wonderful Make History team, founder, idea creator and owner Anouk van der El, product designer Ivan Kasner and graphic designers Mae Engelgeer and Marloes Sijm are so proud to bring us the Little Quote Jar!
Another thing to celebrate is that this beauty is now available. Yes! You can get your hands on it in our very own Bloesem Creative Space! Being the very first retailer in Asia, you can find the Little Quote Jar at the Bloesem Creative Space in Tiong Bahru! It's fresh from the factory and already making itself comfortable beside the Timecapsule in the studio.
People say crazy, funny, not-be-forgotten things alot in our life, whether it's children saying the darndest things or your colleagues cracking you up with one-liners, the team has come up with yet another beautiful and sentimental product thats going to help us keep all the great memories, and great quotes.
Little Quote Jar is a glass jar with a cork top, and it comes with two little notepads and a pencil. The adorable jar looks great whether it's on your kitchen counter or on a book shelf. Always there full of the best times and the little treasures of things the people around you have said.
We would love to hear the funny quotes you have heard! Whether it's an innocent question from your 5 year old or something wise but hilarious gramps said, share it with us in the comments!
It was really great to have a chance to be part of the photography and styling of the Little Quote Jar, done right here in the Bloesem Studio! (Thank goodness for our light shaft which gives us access to great natural lighting.) - Zara

This Christmas, Veronique from Pichouline gifted me this Polaroid camera and it has to be the best present! Before i go on about how much i love the camera, Thank you Veronique!
The camera is a great addition to the Bloesem creative space. We already have so many plans for it. To make moodboards, making shots of our favorite things, people and places around the studio! Tiong Bahru in Singapore is definitely an interesting place worth capturing. Just the other day we saw a guy in a suit wearing a huge helmet that was very unproportionate to his body. We also have this old man who always comes and visits the studio, we could get a photo of him to remember his daily visits by.
If any of you want to get a gift for a loved one or a friend, we suggest this polaroid camera. It's so much fun and great for memories.

Last year, Bloesem and graphic designer Jessica Nielsen had a special Christmas project together and it looked something like this! and as tradition states, we have brought it back again this year with all new wrapping paper designs.
We had so much fun wrapping the presents and setting out all the toys to take some photographs to show you guys the designs! The pictures really remind us of Toy Story! With all the mismatched toys coming together and creating a story with all of them in it.
Like the one with the little piggies hiding from the big bad wolf, we all know that story too well. The pigs also remind me of that one pink pig in Toy Story, you know that really chubby one?

Jessica also designed one more pattern over on Bloesem Living! We love both designs, luckily we have more than enough presents to wrap, we don't have to choose which one we want to use...
